The Lend-a-Hand Auction is our major annual fundraiser that helps us fund high quality programs and services for adults with disabilities throughout the Merrimack Valley. Your support is very important and much appreciated. Opportunity Works, Inc., is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation that was founded in 1974 by a group of Newburyport area residents who were concerned about the lack of support services available to adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Due to the increased demand for its services, Opportunity Works has grown dramatically both in the numbers of people served and in the scope of the programs provided. Today, over 260 people from the Greater Merrimack Valley take part in a diverse selection of support programs offered by the agency. For tickets, please call Deborah Andrews at 978-462-6144 ext 234, go online to www.opportunityworks.org, and tickets may be available at the door (it’s a mystery).
