Event Description: The Yankee Clipper Council of the Boy Scouts of America will celebrate Community and Scouting on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Andover Country Club, 60 Canterbury Street in Andover. Proceeds from the event will be used to extend Scouting programs to underserved youth in the Lawrence community. The purpose of this gathering will be to honor “Distinguished Citizens” from our community. These individuals have made outstanding contributions through their community service and public spiritedness. This year we will recognize two amazing people who have made an important difference to the citizens of greater Lawrence: • Dan Rivera, Lawrence City Councilor, successful businessman, and former distinguished Scout, who is active in many community organizations serving youth and families in greater Lawrence • Ted Teichert, former Andover Selectmen, who served on the Board for 12 years, and is active in the Andover Junior Football League and the Andover Business Community Association.
