Event Description: Dear Fellow Merrimack Valley Chamber Members, We invite you to be a part of an exciting community event benefitting Spectrum Adult Day Health Programs. Seth Glier, a Grammy nominated singer songwriter will be performing at Spectrum in North Andover, located at 1820 Turnpike Street on Sunday, February 10 at 2:00 pm. His concert will be an opportunity to experience his brilliant talent in an intimate setting. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will directly support the Spectrum clients. Spectrum day programs specialize in care for people and their families who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or related memory disorders. Spectrum is the only day program in the region recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association for our commitment to staff training and support. Our sensitive, caring, multidisciplinary team is uniquely qualified to care for individuals with cognitive impairments. This cost-effective option for caregivers can enable those with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of memory loss to maintain independence and remain in their own homes. As a response to the increase of need for this specialized service, and following on the highly successful model of the 20-year-old Spectrum Adult Day Health Program at Beverly, Spectrum North Andover opened in April of 2011. Spectrum is a registered not- for- profit 501(c) (3) program that relies upon philanthropic efforts in order to provide our members with quality services and opportunities for engaging social and failure free activities. It is only with private donations that we are able to offer these activities that promote positive feelings and healthy social interaction to enhance each person’s personal dignity and self-esteem. Spectrum also provides support groups for clients and families as well as free educational seminars for families, community members and elder service professionals. As a long time North Andover resident, I am very proud to bring a therapeutic program to the community that I am raising my family in.
