Event Description: COMPLIMENTARY EVENT - REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED---- The Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a debate for the Massachusetts Congressional Candidates - Congressman Tierney, Mr. Tisei and Mr. Fishman. This Congressional district runs from North Andover, part of Andover, Amesbury, Salisbury, Newburyport, Tewksbury etc. where many of the Merrimack Valley Chamber members have their businesses and/or reside. The Merrimack Valley Chamber is the largest business organization serving members within the Congressional district communities. The Merrimack Valley Chamber's confirmed debate date is Wednesday, October 17 and will be held at North Andover High School Auditorium, 430 Osgood Street, North Andover. The debate will start at 7:00 PM, but we have invited the candidates to arrive by 6:15 PM. The Chamber will develop questions and will also ask the audience, as they are assembling from 6:15-6:45 PM to write questions and drop them in a basket. We anticipate that two or three questions from the audience drawn randomly by the Town Manager will be asked. All Candidates will be asked to answer each question. The MVChamber has not, and will not endorse any candidates but believes it important to provide our members and the public with an opportunity to hear from the candidates. At the time the Merrimack Valley Chamber's debate was being planned, there were no other debates planned in this area that we knew of. Public Invited no admission charge.
