Event Description: COMPLIMENTARY EVENT - REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED---- The Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce will be host a debate for the Massachusetts State Senate Candidates Ms. Ives, Mr. Kelcourse, Mr. Magliocchetti and Mr. Toohey. This State Senate district runs from Methuen, North Andover, Haverhill, Amesbury, Salisbury, Newburyport etc.where many of the Merrimack Valley Chamber members have their businesses and/or reside. The Merrimack Valley Chamber is the largest business organization serving members within each of the senate district communities. The Merrimack Valley Chamber's confirmed debate date is Monday, October 22 and will be held at NECC Tech Center, Northern Essex Community College. The debate will start at 7:00 PM,but we have invited the candidates to arrive by 6:15pm. The Chamber will develop questions and will also ask the audience, as they are assembling from 6:15 - 6:45 PM to write questions and drop them in a basket. We anticipate that three questions from the audience drawn randomly by the NECC College President, will be asked. All Candidates will be asked to answer each question. As noted the debate location will be the Northern Essex Community College Tech Center, 100 Elliott Street,- Haverhill Rooms TC103 A & B. Thank you and please let me know of any questions. The MVChamber has not, and will not endorse any candidates but believes it important to provide our members and the public with an opportunity to hear from the candidates. At the time the Chamber's debate was being planned, there were no other debates planned that we knew of. Please feel free to publicly inform all of this important event.
