From Route 495, take Exit 45 (Marston Street)
Follow Marston Street to the traffic light at Canal Street. Go straight (formerly a left turn before intersection redesign) at the light onto Canal Street (following brown signs for the Heritage State Park. As you come down Canal Street, you will see the Stone and Everett Mills ahead of you on the right. Continue down the hill a bit and turn right into the Everett parking lot before the Union Street traffic light. The entrance will be marked with a purple “Event Parking” sign (look for the balloons!). Note: As you enter the parking lot, the Everett Mill (red brick) will be on your left and the Stone Mill (stone) will be on your right.

Parking
Ample FREE parking is available behind the Everett and Stone Mills. Once you park behind the Everett Mill, enter the Everett on the Canal Street side, Entrance B. People and signs will be available to assist and direct you.

On Sunday, May 19, 2019, the Lawrence History Center is welcoming athletes of all abilities to its 6th Annual North Canal Classic 5k Run/Walk/Roll and Kids Canal Dash in the North Canal district of Lawrence to raise awareness of the History Center in the community, and to promote fitness and economic and cultural development in the city of Lawrence. Net proceeds to support the Lawrence History Center. Please join us at 8:45 AM for the Kids Canal Dash, followed at 9:00 AM by a scenic run, walk or roll past local parks and historic mill buildings!
